Moss, algae and lichen discolour and damage exterior surfaces around the home, making concrete and asphalt driveways, paths, patios and timber decks slippery and dangerous.
Falling over on slippery paths is a major cause of injury accidents at home.

When present on roofs these growths attack the surface, damaging Colourbond, Gerard and Asphalt stone-chip coatings and eating away mortar joints and cement based colour coatings on modern concrete tile roofs.

How Bio-Shield® Works
Bio-Shield® is a biodegradable bio-cide that selectively kills moss, algae, lichen and bacteria on any exterior surface. When applied, it immediately starts working to kill unsightly growths. As a result of natural weathering from rain and wind, the dead growths are gradually removed and flushed away without damaging the surface.
The cleaning process on concrete will take 2 to 4 months.
On other surfaces it can take from 3 to 12 months depending on the level of growth present, the type of surface, and total rainfall over the cleaning period.

Moss Removal, Lichen Removal and Concrete Cleaning with Bio-Shield® is Easy
A single one-off application of Bio-Shield® with the Jet-Stream® Applicator, a garden sprayer or watering can, kills growths quickly.
The dead growths are removed by rainfall without damaging the treated surface and Bio-Shield® can then keep the treated surface clean for up to 3 years.
While chlorine-based products such as '30 Seconds' work quickly on concrete, they are broken down rapidly by sunlight so will give no residual protection. These chlorine-based (bleach) products will require more frequent applications to keep the treated surface clean.
Bio-Shield® is not chlorine-based and gives extended protection to a treated surface once it is clean.
This means less-frequent applications and lower costs.

Exterior cleaning with Bio-Shield® is safe, easy, and won't cause any damage to the surface being treated. Bio-Shield® won't kill plants so is safe to use in proximity of plants and gardens.

Limitations of Bio-Shield
Bio-Shield will kill moss, mould and lichen on any surface, however to effect a complete clean up the surface must be exposed to rain and weathering. If the treated surface is frequently shaded by overhanging trees or buildings or the treated roof surface is under TV aerials or below downpipes from upper roof levels, the surface may need frequent applications to keep the surface clear of growth.
The length of time between applications will vary with the situation and micro-climate around the treated surface.
